National Honor Society

Advisor: Elizabeth Queen

The National Honor Society welcomes to its membership all senior, junior, and second semester sophomore students who maintain at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and who have been enrolled at the school for at least one semester. We invite eligible students to complete an application that the faculty council reviews for indications of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. However, completion of the application does not guarantee membership. We extend an invitation to eligible juniors and seniors to join during the spring semester. National Honor Society members transferring from other schools may also transfer their N.H.S. membership by presenting a membership card or letter from the previous chapter advisor. Members must maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA, attend chapter meetings and functions, avoid disciplinary referrals, and participate in forty hours of community service per school year to remain in good standing. Failure to do any of these will result in the dismissal from the chapter.
